Miele washing machine?

Check drain light keeps flashing even though have checked the filter and outlet pipe. water does drain but the machine will not spin.

you sure its drained properly? then it means the drain motor,not drain pump,is not working,this is the unit that release the brake as to let machine go to spin cycle
