what up with my new dishwasher?

my new hotpoint sdl510.is playing up, the TAB and HALF LOAD button wont stay on they only flash very quickly when u press them, any ideas what is goin on ??? nothing in the trouble shooting page of the booklet.

If it is new and not running right then most people would phone the place they bought it from. It is under warranty so it is their problem.
