My Bosch excel 1400 s express is showing error code f04 I have tried to open filter but the plastic switch is broken, is there any other way to open. I know it's blocked as I wShed a bathroom rug and it fell apart so the bits ar proberbly in the filter

No other way than unscrew the filter,though you say the bit you turn is broken. Only other way is not a diy job....... it is to remove the front white panel of the machine and remove the pump and filter, then remove the motor from the filter and get in that way.
