potterton netaheat 10-16 heating works but hot water doesn't?

Hi

The hot water has stopped working on our our Potterton Netaheat 10-16. The central heating still works fine. The Honeywell controller still seems to be working, the red LED comes on and a click is heard when the hot water slide is switched on, but the boiler doesn't turn on, or make any sounds.

We also recently had a new fan installed in the boiler a few months before the problem started.

Any ideas?
Cheers!

Not a boiler fault...

Check up in your airing cupboard to see if you have a motorised valve; possibly that is the issue... Normally silver (Honeywell), white/blue (ACL/Drayton/Sunvic) or Red (Tower), with some models there is a manual override switch to get you temporarily going, in most cases a plumber with experience in draining heating systems will be required.

If you are gravity - Time to replace the boiler unfortunately as many of these system gunk up over time and it's cost in-effective to do the rectification work.
