DVHRS02 gave me no problems as far as converting Vhs to DVD no matter what discs I used. But today I'm putting in the same type of disc and its's READING then NO DISC then No signal There is no live picture at the input, Check connections. It's playing the video and is also playing DVDs but I can't get it to record.

I had a problem with my Panasonic & I found If you format the disc it might work. good luck

Answering my own question here but it might help someone else. Luckily I found my users manual and when I checked I was using the wrong discs. I was trying to use DVD-R and-RW and I should be using DVD+R or +RW. So something simple can cause hours of frustration.
