I have a jones vx561 sewing machine?

Can not get needle to go up or down. Motor is working but needle seems to be stuck

I have just been given my grandmas Jones vx561 but have no instructions, do you happen to have a copy in which you could scan to me? I can't seem to find any online. I only really need to know how to thread it. Many thanks

is the balance wheel turning as if winding a bobbin ? if not take the bobbin case out, unclip the race way and you will find a piece of thread stuck in there

look for cotton binding hook area and around needle bar crank unit,spray with good penetrating oil where you can reach and turn handwheel back and fro to see if needle will loosen up,if not best take it to techno before more damage occur
