Hi I service all brands of roll laminators all over the western PA area...
its pretty rare for a ultima 65 to overheat. theres a ton of junk film in the field currently. IT SMELS HOT:(
harbor freight sells a heat gun that has a laser pointer, point at rollers it will read out their temperature at the point of the laser. Should be around 280 degrees or so.
There are light bulb heaters inside the red rollers. they sometimes get hot or cold areas. Last I checked they were around 400 bucks a set:( However those red rollers were 400 bucks EACH, recently GBC raised them to 600 bucks each.
Things to ponder, how old is the machine? hows its general condition?
Last I checkked the main board was near 800 bucks
There are a adjustable pot on the main board. some machines have one, others have 2. One for heat and one for ready. The electronics of this model have had 7 or 8 revisions over the years. Parts arent necessairly compatible:(
I can explain temperature adjusting if you are interested
A heater lamp might have a cool area near the sensor this can overheat the machine
