Thetford C2 Flush Querie?

Our 1999 Swift has a Thetford C2 loo (I assume it's the C2) which only flushes when the Blade is closed. Our old van loo could be flushed with the blade open.
Is my new loo flush faulty and can I adjust the switch please?
Many thanks
Kev

click on service, service information, Toilets, cassette toilets, C2/C3/C4 will show click it. Then scroll to Repairs instructions . Download the PDF it cover all models so don’t think yours isn’t there scroll down to page six the start of the C2.

It will give instructions how to access the micros switch. However before carrying out any repairs first contact Theford see what they say about it.
C2 electric flush mostly in caravans, C3 electric flush but from the inboard water tank via electronic none return valve. In motor homes only. C4 this is what I have now, manual pump flush.

In case of no flush at all.
Now back to C2 if you have no flush at all check for current to pump first. This is easily done by turning on the 12volt system then a 12 volt light in the toilet cubicle then press the flush button and see if the light dims if it does and no flush the pump has stuck. Pump easily removed. Remove the toilet roll holder in the flush tank (its a push fit) may need gentle prising up around the rim. Follow flush tube down to pump and you will find its in a cage one cross head screw holds the cage down. Remove the screw and lift cage and pump out if necessary pull the flush tube off the pump. Turn pump upside down and gently turn the impeller to free it, turn it fully about 12 turns drop the pump in water (don’t try it out of water) try the flush button. If it still doesn’t work it could be the pumps given up. Buy new pump and cut away the old pump about 6/8” along wire from pump. Then splice the new pump wire in to the old remaining wiring using heat shrink cable sleeves from car spares. Before final taping the joints test the pump keep joints out of the water, then wrap joints in tape. Try to sit the joint out of the water. If you find the light doesn’t dim it could be the fuse in the cassette housing upper left. See download. On warning wire with tracer colour goes to the wire with tracer wire on new pump irrespective of their colours the tracers go together as do the plain wires go together (+ tracer wire plain – wire)
Hopefully this is not as clear as muddy water, so to speak.
