Why does Outlook 2003 keep using the "English US" dictionary?

I keep changing the default dictionary in Outlook 2003 to "English UK", but it keeps defaulting back to "English US".

How can I permanently change the dictionary to "English UK" and stop it changing back?

I know outlook tries to match the message formate when replying, e.g. if you reply to a plain text message your reply will also be in plain text, but not sure if this applies to dictionaries.
I'm seeing this error in outlook 2007 using built in mail editor

is word set as your mail editor or are you using the outlook editor and what version of outlook are you running?

You first set language in Control Panel, Regional Settings. Then you enable
the language thru MS Office Language Settings (Start - all programs - MS Office - MS Office Tools) & then change the spell checker
in MS Office Tools. You might have to install the language from MS Proofing
Tools. Look up Languages in Outlook help for more complete info.

I have dead on the same question!

My g/f uses Lotus Notes at work and every time I reply-to her emails it switches to US English - really annoying!

Did you get an answer?
