Inlet/Drain flashing?

The machine will not start and the Inlet/Drain light is flashing red. Any help please.

I think the machine - you do not say make or model - is trying to tell you something - it is probably saying that it has a problem with either the water inlet or the water outlet.

If there's a noticeable pond of water in the machine's sump then you'll know it's a drain issue.

If there's no puddle of water then it may well be a water inlet problem - tap turned off - kinked supply hose - defective inlet valve.

It's possible that the control system is faulty and is showing a false error but not very likely.

If you have the confidence and a tool kit to make a repair then go ahead - otherwise you may do best to call in a specialist engineer.

Good luck...
