DonT- reply Hi, thought I would let you know I have resolved the problem myself. My wife suggested I re entered the radio security code I did not think this was reqd because the unit did sometimes come on.However, because nothing else had worked decided to give it a try. What I needed was the display for the radio to light up. The car had been parked up overnight,I got in the car,and pressed the on button for the radio,The display lit up.!!! Note ! I had not inserted the key card. I followed the manual to re enter the security code.I entered it twice without it being recognised, once using the satellite, and once using the buttons on the radio.I tried a third time ,again using the satellite, and this time it accepted the code.Whilst I now know these units are very sensitive to a battery discharge, the lesson to be learnt is simple (apart from not owning one of these radios ,or maybe a Renault because of the electrical problems that have been reported ) Do not give up after the first attempt. Also no such thing as a problem only a solution. My wife does not like to hear that, but it was her that gave me the solution.
