crossed jump leads on battery?

I crossed the battery thermals on my Renault traffic and now it will not start a.it is turning over ok but not engaging any ideas somebody said I fried the ECU

Its Renault you have fried the lot ecu,s /relays ,sensors unless you are love with it stick it out for parts ,the last thing you need to do with a Renault is JumpStart it ,to save damage just put the leads on and leave it for 20 minuets take the leads off then start it these vehicles suffer from surge problems !
