How replace element on Sainsburys Traditional Kettle ?

Hi

Light comes on but no heat.

This is labelled as Sainsbury's kitchen collection stainless steel kettle" and is dome shape with a curve handle over the top. The base comes off easy enough, but I can see how to remove the element (which i believe has gone o/c).

There are 3 screws underneath the plastic switch, but it can see how that would help in removing the element.

Years ago there used to be shops that sold replacement elements and similar spares - but no longer. Now they're made in China and sold in units of 10,000 - our appliances designed and made so that they can't be repaired.

You will do best to discard your kettle and buy a new one.

Good luck...
