My DVD player kept registering "No disc" when I load a disc into it. Why and how to solve the problem?

my coby dvd player has the same problem but I just read to clean the laser on it with alchohol if that dont work replace it if affordible if not not worth it so trash it the best you can do is sell it for the parts which proboblr would help people like you and I.
