ford transit 2lt tdi running fine starting on the button went out in it tonight loss of power no management lights on every ting comes on as it should and goes off as it should but will not rev up above 1200 rpm

I know nothing of motor vehicles but it may be this....

At this point the vehicle will enter a 'restricted performance' mode to prevent further damage. If left the soot loading will keep rising.
