It is very complicated. The dealer is supposed to set it up before you buy it. You need to program the scanner for the code types you will use. Also, baud rate, parity, stop bits, length, using the voyager programming manual. Some registers need a prefix or suffix so that needs to be set also. Then set the register the same as the scanner. If you have never done one, you don't have much chance of programming it yourself. Best to take it to a dealer.
