David, I have had the same problem, I took out the detergent dispenser drawer completely, and cleaned it thoroughly especially under the suction cap - the little round thing in the conditioner compartment. Clean inside the machine where the drawer fits as well. Make sure you put the cap back on firmly so that it is tight. Push the detergent drawer back into the guide tracks and push back into the machine.
