This is an Argos brand...
The top panel that the hose connects to will swing upwards to expose the dust bag - the hinge for the panel will be on its long edge - so the catch to release the panel will be away from the hinge and beyond the hose hole - you need to LOOK for the catch - it's a regular thing with vacuum cleaners...
