I had this same fault and the man who came to fix it told me I had been using too much washing powder and he reset a timer, so far it is still working ok, he also suggested using fizzy tablets in future and to boil wash occasionally too.
I am hoping this is the cure as this repair only cost me £29.
I am sorry I bought this machine as it takes nearly 2 hours to do a 40 degree wash so I tend to do a quick wash then a spin cycle to try and save time :(

this is a problem with the module (control board). it will be the final resistor which will be at fault. either a dry joint or a complete failure. replace with a better quality component and this will solve the problem. this is a common fault with these machines.
