I wonder if anyone can advise on my problem.

When I switch the machine on, all the lights flash for anything from a couple of times up to 5 seconds. Then only start ON/OFF button is flashing and machine does not work. After an hour it could work without any issues,then again same story.
Any ideas,thoughts what could be wrong.

George, this is a classic main module fault. You need to change the main module in the back of the machine. We stock it at £53.88 + £6 postage (exchange).
