Jolly flush push buttons?

How do I replace the push button unit on my jollyflush (grey cable and washer). I have purchased the button assembly(10717795) but cannot see how (a) to separate the cable unit from the old button or (b) to fit the newone

Jolly flush Model MWS 00 double button . This product was first installed in 2005, and 17 yrs later required replacement of base sealing washer. AS it turned out I needlessly removed the push button mechanism from basin lid but without cutting the screw column. The plastic screw 'nut'. to fix to the lid is square rather than round on this model. I was able to use this in the reverse direction, with a little effort, to push the locked cable unit off the collar at the base of the button screw column!. Snap push connect to reconnect so no replacement needed !

All sorted. Cut off the white collar with a junior hacksaw, without cutting the grey cable actuator. Pull the old push button assembly from the actuator. Fit the new push button assembly into the cistern lid and simply push the grey actuator
onto the button assembly. But be warned, once pushed on it locks and the only way to get it off is to buy a new push button and go through the above procedure again. :-)
