Mico espejo R311?

While moving the recorder form the main room to the kitchen ,when i came to switch it on again there was no power.
I have check both the plug fuse and the internal one and they are ok, also checked the plug lead and thats ok. I had left a disk in the recorder, no sure if that could be the cause. Any ideas please.

This happened to mine last week (02.12.10). To fix the problem:

1) Plug it in as normal for a couple of hours (the machine will look as though it's not working, ie, no lights, noise, etc) just leave it plugged in though for a couple of hours.
2) Next unplug it.
3) Then press and hold in the power button (the ON/OFF switch on the front of the machine) BEFORE YOU PLUG IT BACK IN.
I repeat; Keep ON/OFF button pressed in and then with this still pressed in then plug back into the mains.
4) After a matter of seconds the machine will power back to life in its original state/factory settings.

N.B: You may have to repeat this process each time the machine is powered down or unplugged - but it works and you'll be able to use, finalise, etc. any discs you have.

This method works.
Hope it helps you too.

I have been given one of these machines & manual in a non working state & the fault appears to be a blown 3300mF capacitor on the Power Supply board. It is rated at 10v but I will try to find a higher rating, 16v or better.

look for capacitors in power supply with domed tops.

This happens to neally all pieces of electronic equipment. It is caused by capacitors going leaky in the SMPS thus failing. when a piece of equipment comes into the workshop this is the first thing to look fore

Hi have found that if an item is left on indfinitely on standby mode its constant heating will cause, often one of the contacts or soldered items still to work while switched on but fail when moved or stored and then plugged in again. I have found that if I gently move all the componanats and contacts that might be effected, ( with power off of course they will then sometimes return to full funcunalaity). This might just help
