my shower runs for 5 or 6 minutes then stops suddenly with low flow light coming on any ideas

check for any blockages in shower head hose ,maybe partial restriction. Or a seal gone inside your shower unit.
get some how is ok to work on electrical appliances
and can complete the repair safely remembering to isolate this shower circuit at the consumer unit
first .
