I have an older model White sewing machine model #1515; the motor runs like a top; but the fabric will not feed thru the dog feed; any suggestions

open bobbin door and see if there is a silver lever on rh of opening,move it up wards and see if it works,if not there is maybe spring missing or feed dog cam is loose ,worn or stuck
