I have unplugged the tv to let it power down if this does not solve the problem what should I do next?

You could always start by letting us know what the problem actually IS!!!!!!!

You could search Google for - say - make model and two or three words to describe the symptoms.

Say "Technika LCD 40-270 Flickering screen and no audio" or maybe "Technika LCD 40-270 no sound"

You should see results fairly quickly. Maybe stuff like:
