Loose paddles on washing machine?

Should the 3 paddles on my zanussi aquacycle 1200 washing machine be a loose fit or should they be tight and immoveable. Clothes currently having threads pulled during wash cycle

Paddles still loose and clothes continue to have threads pulled. Need to buy a new machine I think as no help here.
