Hi!

Our washing machine door won't open. It has an automatic lock that stops you opening the door during and for a couple of minutes after the wash, but the indicator light for that has turned off and i heard a click, so i don't think it's that. I've opened the little draining door on teh front and barely any water came out, so i don't think it's full of water (it looks dry inside the drum).

Any ideas what to try to get it open!?

Update: i've now managed it. I had to get a torque screwdriver to remove the lid (after unplugging it and turning off the water just in case). The mechanism by which the 'open door' button pulls a cable to lift the door latch seems faulty, so just manually pulling the cable opened it up. In future, we can just put some string under the latch before closing the door, which we can use to lift the latch when we need to open the door. Not ideal but will do the job!
