Do I need to fix data plate on ryobi rlt 3o cesa?

Metal cover on 'box' in compartment next to cooling fins (data plate?) cracked and part of it came off and now rattles around in the 'cage'. Do I have fix this or could I leave it?

Manufacturers are required to put on a rating plate.
Private users may do as they please.
I suspect that a commercial company needs to keep the plate in place for the benefit of any operators.
