FDW60 programme change fault?

My hot point Aquarius FDW60 dishwasher has developed a fault. Put on any wash cycle & it goes through prewash, wash, rinse etc then jumps to finish with light flashing on "delicate". It drains & empties but doesn't dry. When I open door feels like it's been a cold wash as dishes cleaned but feel greasy & no heat felt. Just wondering if this is worth a call out & repair or time to replace. Thanks Christine

From what you say it strongly suggests a defective heating element.

As for is it worth it? That depends on the age of your machine versus the relative costs of replacement or repair - only you can judge that.

I would guess 8 to 10 years to be a reasonable life of a dishwasher - you do not say the age of yours.

Good Luck..., May 2016
