You will need a specialist to do the installation - they will tell you the best to use and supply it.
On this site there are dozens of questions about non-working wireless thermostats - there are no questions about hard-wired thermostats.
Our room thermostat is in the hall - we pass it as we move about the house. In the winter we turn it down as we go to bed and turn it up again when we get up. In the summer we just leave it set to 10 degrees and forget about it.
We always know where it is.
