How do you remove the chimney hood on a neff cooker?

The bulb and fan in my neff cooker hood have blown a fuse. The plug appears to be behind the chimney section of the hood but i cannot remove the chimney section to access the plug? Is there a trick to this?

Without the model number it's hard to give exact advice, but generally most chimney sections are fixed by a hidden bracket right at the top where the wall meets the ceiling. There should be a small screw on each side right in that top corner. Take both screws out and the chimney should telescope down enough to pull towards you and detach from hood. After installation the screws may have been covered by cove or mastic which could make them hard to see.

My extractor chimney is not a Neff brand - it has a couple of screws to remove the outer cover - one each side.

The Fused Supply to it comes from a wall socket behind an adjacent cupboard - towards the floor.

You might look on the back wall left and right below and above before you dismantle the chimney.
