rumbling noise when going up or down, minivator 950?

I bought second hand a Minivator 950 stairlift, fitted it myself after some figuring out, it runs top to bottom no trouble but there is a moderate rumbling when travelling as though it could be a bearing in the rollers worn, stupidly I didn't repack the bearings when I had the chance. Do you have any answers to my problem please? Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank's John Phoenix.

Thank's I'll try the spoon/stethoscope idea and see if I can isolate it a bit better, otherwise I suppose it's off the track again and look closer at it, just what I want at 73 and counting.

Use a wooden spoon as a stethoscope - that will help you to discover the source and the nature of the rumble.

Wherever it comes from you will probably have to do either lubrication or bearing replacement to make it go away.
