Researching this for a friends Samsung TV. When the TV has been off for a few hours (undetermined how long), The remote will not turn the TV on. TV has to be turned on directly. Once the TV has been on for a few minutes (3-5), the remote works perfectly the rest of the day, turns the tv on/off, everything works, until the TV is off for extended period again.
