LG person says 'no' you can't. LG user guide says you can. I have a really old very unsmart TV and can record up to x 6 programmes, and watch live tv, not catch up. Confusing

Superficial research on this TV set shows that it has no ability to make recordings - so the answer to your question is No.

If you wish to watch one programme and record another at the same time you will need a recording device - I can do this with my Sky HD+_ box
