Baumatic BAD6002 dishwasher won't start after filling with water?

The dishwater drains water ok and fills but sounds like it just jams and doesn't make usual washing sounds

Lay it on it's side. Take the floor tray off. Get a flat screwdriver and turn the end of the wash pump shaft to see if it is easy to turn. If it is free to turn check the capacitor if you have a multimeter, The value will be printed on the side. If value is low or you have any doubts then replace it.

If it hums then probably needs a new motor start capacitor fitted or else the wash pump is jammed or seizing up.
