have the same problem as others on the site
tried to download video for repair instructions but malwarebytes blocks it advising me it is infected.
Is there some other way you can help

What "Good Luck" says, unless it is a large phase shift capacitor the motor needs in order to run, which an earlier question poser seems to have discovered after following similar advice.

Open the pedal and remove the capacitor - snip it out.
There is no need to replace the capacitor.
It's in there to stop radio interference.
Capacitors do not last - they eventually dry out - fail and smoke.
