If you have not got a warranty you can easily fix this, to do it you need to watch this video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3IhX07P8nk.
On this it shows only one spiny thingy but there is usually two on a silver model one is for left or right(best not to touch this is the,one at the bottom) and the other is for up or down, this one you can mess with its usually to high in most cases like mine.
But first of all clean your laser with a ear pick using alcohol rub or monster screen cleaning( this is what I used).Watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4aDoNScvNA&feature=related.
