I have a Currys essential electric oven and hob, and my oven and oven lamp won't come on. All 4 rings on the hob work perfectly and I cannot afford to get somebody out to look at it. Can I replace or fix anything myself to get the oven working again?

If the oven is separate from the hob, or are we talking about a cooker? I think the latter.

Can you check the electricity supply to the oven?

This may be on a separate trip in your fusebox. Check in there.

It may be that an element has failed and tripped the supply.

Checking and replacing elements is reasonably easy but needs somone technically competent.
