What is wrong with my Exbury 15 fire?

My Exbury 15 fire is turning on ok, the switch is fine and the flames are coming on,but I have no hot air blowing out at all. I have been told this model is discontinued, is very expensive to fix and as it is 4 years old,may not be worth the money.
Can anyone tell me what is the matter with it?

The heater element may have failed.
A switch may have failed
If the heater is controlled electronically, a PCB may have failed.

Someone competent should be able to check it out fairly quickly.

A spare element is about 70 quid.
