Door chime radio signal detection on the smartphone?

I don't have the manual anymore but I've emailed the company for one.

The model is: Uni-Com Wire Free Plug-In Door Chime 54665

I am a computer scientist so I am not sure if my phone has even the right sensors. It's Nexus 5

Thanks Dvdhsu

I received the official reply that "it is old and it is not possible what I intended to do".

The short answer is no.

If you want to use a smartphone to monitor your doorbell, expect to pay (a lot) more for something that will talk over WiFi, which your phone could pick up anywhere you can get Internet connectivity.

Summat like this:

If you go the Internet or WiFi route MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE FROM THE DEFAULT PASSWORD and use a STRONG one of your own.
