hi there im wanting to no how i would find out why my hoover brushers are not rotating round when i turn the hoover on

In other words there is a place for a belt but no belt visible.

Perhaps the belt has snapped and fallen off, possibly jamming the machine.

ive had alook into the vax carpet machine and its inposible for the brushers to turn round on a belt because the fit in and carnt turn round there is no belt but room for a belt ime baffled could anyone help,
