The disc tray on our PS2 will not stay closed. The blue light continues to flash and the tray opens after a few seconds. Anyone have an idea. The machine is about 3 years old and this is the first time we've had any problems.

i had this same problem and one thing i tried was taking the system apart and oiling the bars that the trey slides along to read the disc because sometimes the oil dries on the in side and can cause the trey to slow down which affects the playstation from reading the disc
