How do I restart my oil fuel boiler?

I have a grant Euro flame boiler. My oil ran out and I need to restart my boiler. Can you help?

You will need to bleed the fuel line from the tank. To do that you will need to find the fuel feed to the burner and loosen it so that you can see when fuel is coming out. When you start a boiler it will go through a set purging cycle and start pumping oil. If the burner does not "see" a flame it will shut down. If you can locate the sensor and fool it then the pump will keep going and you will get fuel at which point you reconnect the fuel line. Otherwise it will be a long slow slog as the burner keeps cutting out but eventually you will get there.

Without knowing the model, no we cant help in any meaningful way.

Once we know the model, we would then probably make a caustic comment about getting the manual online and reading it, once we'd checked it could be found. We'd have probably also suggested finding contact details for Grant technnical suppprt or customer service.
