Two things to try.
First is to turn off mains power, pull dishwasher out and tip it forward to see if water comes out of the very bottom. Flooding in the lower panel at floor level will stop the machine working until it's clear of water.
Second is to disconnect the waste pipe from where it joins the drain and check its not blocked with fat or debris. If so, clean it out..
