Your problem is unlikely to be a result of pressing the wrong button on the remote. The chances are your TV had already developed a fault just before you started pressing random buttons. If you switch on TV with the power button, does the light by the button flash red or green a few times then stop? If so, this would suggest that you have a fault with the circuit board that supplies the power.
