what do i do when my washer will only spin but the water dosent drain out?

my washer wont drain out the water on the spin cycle, does it need to be reset

No there is no such thing as a magical reset. There is obviously something wrong with the drain pump. Either a blockage(rubbish from the pockets etc) no power getting to start the pump or a faulty drain pump.
