After taking off the gear knob there is a black rubbery coating around the part where I'm supposed to fit my gear knob can this be removed I have a citroen saxo.

hello, wat bit do you want to change. the top bit with the gears on it or the lever part. If its the top part, it does just pull off. BE CAREFUL its going to be tight.
