My toaster has tripped in the electricity in my kitchen. So, the microwave, washing machine and fridge have all shut down. How can I fix? I have a new electricity meter and there isn't the flick switch like the old one. I just want the other electrical things to work again. Toaster will be getting binned!

Find the fuse box ( also called the consumer unit) and look in there. There should be a row of little switches, one of which will probably in a different position.
Push this switch back to match the others.
Any problems at all and ask an electrician or someone competent to do the job.
