Bathroom ceiling pull switch?

My bathroom pull switch will only turn on and off at the consumer unit. It has 5 old style cables all with grey sheath and red inside each one. Three of them are all twisted together into one terminal nd the other two are in separate terminals. Any suggestions on what to do please?

Ask someone COMPETENT to change the pull switch.

Someone not competent working with electricity is dangerous. Doubly so in a bathroom.
