I have a Bose Wave radio CD player which no longer will play CD's. Its an older model AWRD-1P. When I insert a CD and press play, it makes a sound as if trying to play but cannot. I don't beleive it's spinning. What should I do first? I called BOSE and apparantly its too old to be repaired.

Distorted sound, reading CD doesn't play, cleaning did not work. Three changer and the CD in the Bose radio. Local repair dealer will not repair due to Bose restrictions!

You could always try a proprietary cd cleaning disk. EBay or Amazon etc.
A quick search using your search engine if choice may alsonthrow up some results for questions like "clean Bose cd player" "AWRD-1P cd not working" etc.
